Why do I suddenly have to sign up for a Gmail account in order to see this free pattern? If I wanted a gmail account, I'd have one already.

I have a gmail account and i cannot access the free pattern. The blog is private and and one must be invited. Otherwise I would have posted a screenshot for you! ;)

Oh for fuck's sake! I wish I'd downloaded it when I first saw it. I remember knitting it with pleasure, but I don't think I have a printout.

(Why oh why make a free pattern invite only? In what world does this make sense? Either put it up as a free pattern or sell the damned thing!)

I'm not sure, but I did the same thing and yeah, it's not letting anyone in who doesn't have an invite.
