The first one sounds decent enough, but not to my taste. The second strikes me as a "get it from the library" book -- worth reading, but maybe not worth buying.

OTOH, I was thrilled to note that The Devil's Right Hand, written by an online buddy of mine, got a good review. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with Dusty in person at Bouchercon...

Fairly good assessment of Creature. It's not bad - particularly in conjunction with an anthology I just reviewed - but it's not "get this NOW!" either.
