My cat, the music critic

I finished and sent out four overdue pieces of writing, and my, how much better life looks today!

When I was finished, I set about trying to string and tune my bowed psaltery... and discovered that I am apparently not fated to learn to play it, at least not in the near future. Cutting my fingers on the new string several times without managing to get it actually attached to the instrument was rather off-putting. But it was when I decided to tune the strings I had that things got interesting.

I figured if the cats didn't like the sound, they'd run away. No go. DB - ordinarily a very quiet cat - went nuts. Meowing, practically yowling, he head-butted my hands, batted me with claws partially out, and tried to get into my lap to force me away from it. When I checked the newly-tuned strings with a quick rendition of "Doe, a Deer" he all but turned himself inside out.

So I guess ebay provideth and ebay will selleth away.

Apparently I'm too cynical for Princess Bride

casablanca
"You must remember this, a kiss is still a
kiss". Your romance is Casablanca. A
classic story of love in trying times, chock
full of both cynicism and hope. You obviously
believe in true love, but you're also
constantly aware of practicality and societal
expectations. That's not always fun, but at
least it's realistic. Try not to let the Nazis
get you down too much.
