Random update
Jul. 2nd, 2006 08:59 pmIt started out a promising day. Got enough done yesterday that I could spend much of today noodling with Wurlitzer and catching up on the post-episode reaction on the Who communities.
Then the thunderstorm came through, flickering the power. This crashed both ipod and computer (Wurlitzer being connected at the time), and then the computer couldn't come back up because the ipod was frozen. Fun times, starting at a blank screen (not even the blue screen of death) and wondering how I could exist without a working computer.
Fortunately, both have been successfully disconnected and rebooted. whew!
Supposed to be an easy day at work tomorrow, mostly because half the office isn't coming in. Mother's called to say that the town where I grew up is throwing an extra-special parade on the 4th for its 100th anniversary, and I'm trying to decide if that's worth the gas and the driving to go, especially since they're predicting thunderstorms that would wash the parade out (rain date - Shore Leave.)
