The tough decision of how to go see Yarn Harlot on Thursday night and whether I'd need to take time off work to make up for the late night has been decided by my catching M's cold and thus being too sick to go in the first place. Feh.

I think I finally found bras that will fit and be comfortable and everything I want... and according to google, the five I bought are the last ones in the universe. Hell, according to google they don't exist in the first place, so I must have a delusion strapped to my chest this morning. Feh again.

And on that cheerful note, a couple of fic recs:

Lullaby Pre ep-3 Torchwood, Ianto/Lisa. She’s in a cradle and he’s singing her lullabies. She’d laugh if it didn’t hurt so much.

Hesitation Ten, Donna - a quick, fun look at how the Doctor might ask Donna a second time.

I have just finished reading Sick Building, one of the latest Who tie-in trilogy. I will now bow my head for a moment of silence in memory of all those trees that died in vain.

And we have sort of canonical New Who confirmation that the Doctor has a lower body temperature! Wetworld, page 123!

(That was an old-schoolism that old school fans have still been writing into the fanfic, but which hasn't been confirmed by New Who. Until now. Ish.)

I'm sick. It is lack of energy and the need to conserve and nothing at all to do with avoiding chores that has me reading Doctor Who novels and spamming LJ. Really.

Simple, inexpensive comfort food: stuffed French Toast for One )

Makes a Sunday morning special, and slides nicely down a sore throat
