Easy come, easy go

The paperwork giveth and the paperwork taketh away... about a month ago, I got a letter from a company I worked for years ago (which had been bought out twice since) telling me that if I sent a form back, they'd give me a big chunk of money as part of my cut of a profit sharing plan.

"Woo Hoo!" I think. "ChicagoTARDIS!"

Today, I discovered that the company that I just resigned from is deducting almost 2.5x that amount from my final paycheck after they paid for me to take a class less than a year ago.

I do so love a proper ghost story/horror film. So many purveyors of horror get it wrong by assuming gore=terror.

No, gore=gross. A whole different concept. (I once reviewed a book that promised "psychological horror" and delivered torture porn. Oy!)

So I was thrilled that ( The Eternity Trap gets it right )
