Random and Sundry
Mar. 25th, 2010 09:17 pmSoon after the flyers went up, someone called and told me about a possible Mulder's body sighting. I was so sure that I didn't bother checking, but today I was on that road and couldn't resist. There is a body, but it isn't him. I hope no owners are searching for that poor cat.
Gytha is confused about why the humans keep calling her name every 10 minutes. Fortunately, she's also curious enough to come look at you to see if you might have food, although she hasn't galloped right up to us with enthusiasm ever since the episode with the harness. Also, she has more energy than she knows what to do with when she's not being chased around the house and play-fought 8 times a day.
A general political comment that boils down to restating the obvious: I'm not just a liberal Democrat, I'm specifically a New Deal Democrat. I think that taxes should be buying a lot more overall services for the citizenry under the aegis of promoting the general welfare and will always champion anything that looks like it is going to accomplish that. If it's not perfect the first time... well, the Constitution needed a bunch of amendments right away too.
And a non-political politics question: hands up everyone who can still sing the Preamble from memory. You know who you are and why.
A knitting neep. Some things, despite pictures and youtube, you need to be taught by a human. Last night someone taught me the magic cast on, and there is much rejoicing.
And finally, I've just seen a mashup book that's even more o.O than "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." It's titled "The Vampire's Just Not That Into You."
