At The Closing of The Year
Dec. 26th, 2012 02:19 pmI look around the chaos of the house, think about trying to live in it and the amount of work I'll have to do to get it organized, and frankly feel helpless and hysterical to the point of panic attack. So the pictures ( are really being reposted for me )
Because it's hard to measure progress without metrics, and because my OCD rather demands a List Of Things To Do, I am facing the organization process with these little helpers:
52 Organizing Missions (I have the ipad app)
52 Weight Loss Missions (app again)
Weight Watchers (it turns out that I can do WW at Work for 30% off the regular price, *and* without the evening commute that it would take to get to WW anywhere else)
and
The Science of Good Cooking by Cook's Illustrated magazine that *just happens* to have 50 chapter-lessons. It dings my pride to realize how much I still need to learn about cooking, but this will give a good structure to follow.
I'm also going to return to a year-long 7 Items Project challenge.
(Not to mention finishing the house. Yeeek!)
Yeah, guess what you're going to be hearing about every Sunday in 2013. Sorry, but without the name-and-shame of it, it's too easy for me to backslide.
