Am I even close? I'm not sure about Mulder, but that marmie looks like a boy! and boy cats are cuddlier with kittens than females - when everybody's spayed/neutered.
Yes, yes, and yes. (He's the only orange one we've got now that DB passed. He's also the only one always wearing a collar and tag after his little adventure in running away, although I foresee Idris needing a collar of her own.) It's the first time he hasn't stared at the kittens in puzzlement that they're still here or left when they touched him. Now if Gytha chills out, we'll have the whole socialization thing licked. (There's no hope for Kaylee.)

Roger that. About 2 weeks after we rescued her from a parking lot I took something out to the car after midnight, which gave Dorothy (in pic) a chance to get out. Steve & I spent the next hour and & a half playing tag with her (literally -- she would flirt & prance until we got too close, then scoot) all over our very dark -- & very Republican -- neighborhood. I kept expecting to be accosted for trespassing by a homeowner with a gun. Fortunately, she finally let herself be bribed with soft food & caught.
All my cats have always been strictly indoor & thus never had collars or tags. She got hers, plus a chip, the next day.
I remember when Mulder looked like them-- and even smaller. Here he looks like he ought to be in a comfy chair at his club. May he discover the pleasures of being a good big brother!
Gytha and Mulder were chipped and collared when he was brought back home. Gytha, though, proved so shy that her collar finally came off. Mulder, howedver, zipped outside without permission twice this summer, although he was caught within seconds, so his stays.
Ours are definitely a lot cuddlier in winter. Still, we had a brief period when the middle-aged bachelor kitties were growing to tolerate Blackjack and even develop a mild fondness. And then Rupert arrived and the older cats are now heartily fed up with the whole kitten concept.

I've been looking at old kitten shots. Hard to believe he came to us smaller than them!

I'm envious. That hasn't happened between any of the cats I've had in the past 20 years.
