Why am I even surprised?

I've finally mustered up the self discipline to seven items my disaster of a bedroom. (When I get home from work, clean up 7 things and do one of those nagging, ignored chores.)

Tonight I found another bag of yarn.

bwee.

Neeeever happens here...

It migrates!

No, really. There's the "closest in the queue" in my office, the usual stash in the basement cabinets, the "things in audition" on the table, the "too pretty to put away" on the antique sewing machine, the "on the go" projects in the living room...

You get the idea.

Heh. I am not at all surprised. One of my spring goals is to ransack the house and get ALL the yarn stash and ALL the cloth stash located, cataloged, and put in a single location.

Right now I not only have 4 projects in the works, I am seriously considering taking *all four* with me to the convention next week. In case I don't have just the right thing to do with my hands at all times, I guess.

I use knitkeeper as my catalog - I know Ravelry has one too, but I like Knitkeeper. Because it's on my phone, I can pull it out in the heat of the impulse and say "Yes, I have this/no, I need this."

(I'm going to be looking for octopus snips at Stitches next weekend!)

Oh, have a wonderful time! I decided not to go this year, but the exhibition area is *killer* I came this close to buying a spinning wheel, but eventually decided I'd rather take up harp.

This upcoming weekend is (unless the con run by newbies really tanks) going to be all kinds of squee. Knitting on Friday, Holmes on Saturday & Sunday, and then catch up on Doctor Who Sunday night/Monday.

If nothing else, I get 4 whole days to sleep late!
