I just spent $25 to soothe my conscience. From the moment I saw this quilt I wanted to make it. Not as a quilt, but as a knit project - I can see exactly where to start to make this entire thing in one piece.
Since it's in a book with instructions, I figured that if I bought the book, I had essentially bought a license to make the thing... no matter *how* I wanted to make it.
The book is meant to sell fabric, but to be honest, a lot of those patterns are knittable.
