Yet Another Measles Post. Remember how the anti-vaxxers kept saying that measles isn't a big deal in the Western world because "nobody dies of it anymore"?

Immediate fallback position from anti-vaxxers: "Oh, but she was weak. Healthy people don't die from measles!"

Yes, they do indeed promote the concept of just letting the poor, elderly, and weak die. I've seen it quoted in articles, and we won't mention the comments.

Reminds me of the idea that if you get the right exercise, eat all the right foods, take the right supplements, and get the right medical tests, MAYBE YOU WON"T DIE! And if anybody does all that and dies anyway, they just weren't doing it right.

It's a form of the same thing, isn't it? **I** am a special snowflake who takes care of my body and will never get sick or die; *you* are a careless person who doesn't take good enough care and that's why you get sick; they are useless slobs who ought to stop getting their germs everywhere and using up our oxygen.
