I'm not sure we should be promoting a presidential candidate now. That's what we did last time and it didn't work well. The front-runner years in advance is rarely the eventual candidate, because people get sick of him/her, and he/she has plenty of time to make mistakes that will be brought up repeatedly, no matter how minor, and maybe a big mistake like Gary Hart's. And the last campaign literally lasted for years and everybody is freakin' sick of campaigns for a while.

Behind the scenes, for now, yes, look for several good candidates.

And let me state, as I will be stating for the next four years and am already tired of having to state: the American voters did not elect Trump. The electoral college system has, for the second time in 16 years, given us a "winner" who is not the candidate who got the most votes. At last count Clinton was ahead of Trump by over 1.7 million votes. The electoral college needs to die.
