Weekly Lost commentary

Now that's what I call an episode! Lots of stuff going on and everyone gets a scene. Broke my heart when Jin couldn't look at Sun. (Although at the same time I was like, "Sun? Hon? Aren't you supposed to have an accent?")

Poor Sayid's chances of getting lucky just tanked. Not when their first romantic luau for two made Shannon miss her brother's death scene.

What was up with those flashbacks, though? Pointless and boring. Poor Boone, can't get more screen time even on his final episode.

As for next week - LOOOOOOOOCKE!! NOOOOOO!!! Although the second I saw the squib go off on his chest I thought they said they'd kill off an important and beloved character, and Boone was neither. Poor Terry - isn't that the actor's name? - he finally gets a really juicy part and they snuff him. Hope you get juicy residuals.

PS - hands up everyone who thinks it's Shannon who shoots him?

Oh and... hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but this is the last new Lost until May 4th, I believe. We'll get the Lost special on April 27th, but intil then, we just have to imagine the evil that Jack is gonna perpetrate on Locke.

The flashbacks allowed me to watch bits of ANTM.

As for killing Locke, I think the Hobbit might have a bone to pick, too.

I don't know about Shannon and Sayid. She's probably going to feel guilty, most of all. She may blame Sayid, but she might want someone to turn to in her grief. And it wasn't Sayid's fault that Boone died. Maybe Sayid will take care of Locke for her. Of all of them, he is the most knowledgeable about killing people.

Why did Locke run away? Sometime is affecting his mind, big time. Are we to believe it's the island? Why did he tell them that Boone fell off a cliff? He didn't want them to know about the airplane? Why? I can understand not wanting Charley, I think it is, about the H, but why not the others?

I'm glad Jack didn't cut off Boone's leg. That would have been squicky, big time...and cruel. He was going to die anyway, Jack knew it. And why didn't he ask Boone? He was conscious, part of the time. It's his body. Just because Jack's a doctor, doesn't give him the right to go cutting off people's legs.

Who knew that the gun case was there? It was kind of a secret, wasn't it?

OK, my take on the preview scene is that it may not be what it appears to be. Remember that there are a lot of dreams and illusions that happen on the island. Quite frankly, I doubt they'd show us in a preview of an upcoming episode that a character would be shot in the chest, especially if this is the "death" they've been touting all season.
