I had been planning on going to see Becoming Jane at the cheap show today, but once I got home in the blessed air conditioning, there was just no way I was going back out into that heat again for any reason!

Did go to the Rennfaire. I seem to have left just as things got exciting - a fire truck, all sirens going, passed me on the way out and I saw another one plus an ambulance heading in that general direction. Does anyone know what happened?

It's funny... the minute I'm home and clean, I start thinking about how bad my head and stomach still feel. While I was *at* faire, all I could think of was how hot I was and if I was getting enough to drink. (Depending on the thermometer, it's either in the very high 90s or up at 100, and it's so humid that all the windows were fogged this morning.) Well, the trip neither killed nor cured me, and I got to do the shopping I wanted and see a couple of the shows I wanted to see.

Now that I can say I've done faire on opening day, however, I don't feel any need to go back while it's still this brutally hot!

Conveniently, Amazon has just delivered my Austen-o-rama; the Greer Garson, Keira Knightly, and Colin Firth Pride and Prejudices. So I might miss Miss Hathaway becoming Jane, but I'll still get that Austen flair.

"I'm a psychopath with superpowers and you're my girl!"

The even better quote that's a serious spoiler )

Okay, maybe I'm becoming a fan of Jeckyll after all.
