Y'all can skip that poll... doing more research today says that the screening/raffle is sold out and has a wait list. So I'd just be taking a 4-hour bus ride (each way) for lunch. Remember how I waffled hard over driving 3 hours for tea? Yeah. That plus two hours and at least $65. I'm sure I'd have a blast if I went, but Not This Time.

A Scintillation of Scions tonight. I've been meaning to check out
Watson's Tin Box with an eye towards joining anyway. I'll have to see who I contact about that pot luck at the end of the month and see if newbies are invited. (Hey, I discovered and joined Team Wench by getting a last minute ticket to Pirate Feast 1. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.)
Might even look into seeing if nonmenbers can subscribe to the BSI Journal or whatever ASH publishes.
How did I get from talking about a Sherlock BBC meetup to the canonical groups? My Ice Cream Theory of Sherlock Holmes, let me show you it: The Holmesian mythos is like ice cream. It comes in a whole bunch of flavors and people will choose favorites, sometimes even favorites that are far removed from the original flavor. Most people will probably enjoy more than one flavor, some will enjoy them all. But at heart, we're all ice cream fans together.
Me? I'm very ecumenical when it comes to ice cream flavors.
