Meme

I should know better than to meme on Whoday, but still:

Rules:
* Post 3 things you've done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done.
* If anybody responds with "I've done that," add another thing.
* Encourage your friends to paste this into their own journal to list the unique things they've done.

It's a bit sad that all the fun stuff dates from the college years. Or maybe that's just a little more realistic.

1. Escaped out the window of a locked castle in Germany. At dawn.

2. Traveled in a car in such bad shape that while one of us was driving, the other one had to hold the ignition system together with her hands.

3. Fell on top of Roy Dotrice. (Note: *Fell.* Not *threw*)

1. I climbed in through the window of a locked water mill OVER THE MILLRACE in the middle of the night once. I felt like the heroine of a Secret Seven novel written by George Elliot.

2. My friend turned into the carpark of a motorway service station then turned the engine off and it immediately dropped out onto the tarmac. She'd been driving at 70mph until a few minutes perviously.

3. Was randomly hugged and kissed in the street by George Michael. No, rly.

I wanna hear the George Michael story!

(And wow, your friend was lucky!)

It's more of a non-story. I was shopping in Kensington High Street when George Michael walked past (celebrities wandering around London on their own isn't especially notable or unusual, even Madonna does it) and a couple of girls asked him if he'd have his photo taken with them. He said yes because he had time and he's a nice bloke who likes/liked his fans. So I took their photo. He assumed I was with the two girls so he swapped round to pose with me too (I wasn't even a fan of his back then, heh). The two girls sent the photos off to the press and I ended up pictured in a national magazine being hugged by George Michael (luckily the kiss was off camera). Total non-story.

Much funnier was the time my friend and I saw a bloke from Twisted Sister with a pack of body guards and felt sorry for him because no-one was interested so we pretended we were fans for a few minutes. He seemed grateful. ;-)

Bumping into celebrities randomly in the street is much more fun than in the VIP areas of clubs etc because they tend to put up less of a professional front.

He probably was, and he probably felt like an idiot with all the guards and nothing doing.
