And one beta niggle:
"How?" Alan wanted to know. "Can you do something alien and fix her now that you've got time?"
"No," the Doctor told his tea.
"No, there isn't, or no you don't know how?" Gwen asked.
For this to make sense, Alan's line needs to be "Is there something alien you can do to fix her..."
Eagerly awaiting more... (Now, with added BRIG!)
