The news started hitting last night and was confirmed and elaborated this morning: Julius Carry, who will always be Lord Bowler to me, died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. According to Variety, donations may be made to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

OMG, 56 is much too young. :( My thoughts go out to his family.

I loved that show so much. Now my dream of a Brisco movie will never be realized :(

What a fine actor with a lovely singing and speaking voice, and by all reports a damn fine man as well.
And he sure wasn't hard on the eyes.

Agreed, twice over... And if I were a conspiracy nut,I'd wonder that - what- three out of the four have been black? WHAT is up with THAT? Isaac, Bernie, and now Julius...

But I see you didn't mean "3 black guys out of 4 dead ones", but
rather, "3 dead black guys out of 4 black guys who could've been dead."
Yeah, I suppose we were all lucky (but not as lucky as Morgan Freeman!).

I see now how it looked, but no, I wasn't yelling at
you so much as just getting agitated over YET ANOTHER
guy dead (I thought) that I hadn't even heard of. It
was just shock & disbelief on my part, & I apologize

I didn't want to offend, and didn't mean to scare you with the thought that there was YET another...
To be truly honest my thought had been "Four guys dead, three known to be black, better to err on the side of caution and known (to me)fact." To be honest- I didn't think of Morgan Freeman's accident until after I'd posted, and it makes it "4 dead black guys out of 5 that could be dead"... yipe!
