I definitely hope your father's surgery went well, and I'm sorry to hear that your mother used it as an opportunity to get in a dig.

And I definitely hope DT recovers completely and is able to spend many years to come on stage, and am only marginally less envious of you for the upcoming trip. (Less than two days I got to spend in London this summer, and the second one mostly booked up with other people!)
