I know that I need to obsess for a while (that is, go over it and over it until it imprints on my memory) and then I need to start dismissing it (think of something "nice" -in Nana's voice, after a nightmare)or deep breaths, letting go, or whatever... or else it becomes the center of my existence.... use what you know to center yourself. Distraction is often a good technique, ads is denial (once the event is past)
