What I do, especially in the winter, is to make up a big pot of soup, stew or pasta at the beginning of the week and use it as either lunches or dinners for the rest of the week. Actually, this week, I'll be making two pots--one for lunches, one for dinners. I'm at my cold junior high this week, which means I want hot lunches instead of bento boxes. It's cheaper and easier than making dinner each night, and I know exactly what goes into it.

Must look up wheat roll recipes before tomorrow, though. Wheat rolls for beef barley soup.
