Mulder Watch, Week 2

None of the leads have panned out. Most of the last set of flyers still up.

My new "normal" is going to be checking the shelter pictures on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and making flyer runs by the parks and the school on Wednesdays and Sundays. As we hand flyers out during the runs people have been telling us they noticed them. I think/hope that keeping them by the school and parks will be the best place to find him if he's still running loose. (There are also flyers up at the grocery store, vet, town hall, town fire department, and town police station.)

Tonight I take flyers to knit night with me; he wouldn't have walked to the next town south by himself, but he may have been taken there - and there are lots of pet-friendly people at knit night. I'm also going to see if I can drop a dozen flyers at the library's flyer table when I'm next there.

We've decided to become one of the crazy cat ladies who puts out food, so every morning dry food and water go out. Every night something is eating it, so I've told M that every night, the bowls will go closer to the live trap, then at slowly down into the live trap until they're past the trigger. Hopefully we won't have a furious skunk one morning.

You have my continuing GoodThoughts toward his recovery. I haven't been saying much, because this is all reminding me painfully of how we lost Buffy last year, but I'm praying that you'll have a better outcome.

I hope so too, but we lost the best window to find him, I think. And we know it.
