Mulder is being taken to emergency surgery; he has eaten something that was neither edible nor passable.

As he was young and healthy beforehand, he should pull through easily. On the other hand, this is the second time he's put us through the wringer. I honestly don't know what we'll do if there's a third.

I hope you can find out what he ate so you can keep it away from him....

If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I could check on him when you're at work. (During recovery, I mean. Not every day for the rest of our lives to see what he's trying to eat.)

And, yes, if there's a third time you'll still worry like hell about him and love him and cuddle him like crazy after it's all over, because you love him and that's what you do :)

(Jethro coughed up what looks like a finger off one of Kent's leather work gloves last night. We found the cuff and assorted shreds in the pantry. No clue as the disposition of the OTHER glove .... sigh)

If he were mine, I'd consider making a strainer mask for his face, so that he could only eat like a baleen whale...well, no, I wouldn't. But I can fantasize about keeping kitteh safe like that.

For those scrolling down for an update, I just called and Mulder's doing well after surgery-- starting to be feisty and interested in food. He and his "cone of shame" should be coming home today.
