I've got tomorrow off work for a service call; one of the things I'm going to be also doing is picking a couple of meet times and places, because I'd love to catch up with the flisters coming in. The first will be before the rally, so we can do it together (probably about an hour before the rally, as I'm expecting to go in at least 2 hours early to see vendors and other insanity) and then the other will be off the mall after the rally ends so we can hang and chat.

Some Republicans and Tea Party types have said they're quite happy to have a bunch of liberals wandering around the Mall the weekend before the election instead of knocking on doors, calling, and doing other get-out-the-vote activities....

Odds are extremely good that everyone on the mall intends to vote anyway.

The thrust wasn't at them but at the otherwise nonvoters they could encourage. I hope that sort of thing helps-- I've volunteered with voter registration-- but after a point the phone calls just irritate people.

Really wish I could go, but Colorado Springs to DC, with two small kids to either bring or foist on my husband.... Yeah, not going to happen.
