Resolutions
It occurs that it's the 4th already and I haven't posted resolutions. Well... I've been distracted.
HOUSEHOLD
LIBRARY
Decided not to hang curtains. Also, figured out how to shift cookbooks elsewhere, freeing up an entire shelf. Library finished when cleared out.
- remove mismatched bookshelves
- pull up carpet and replace with hard flooring
set up new bookshelves
purge books/reshelve remainder
- hang art deco rose stained glass & curtains
- set up desk
- move desktop computer, modem, and printer out of living room entirely and into permanent desk in library
HALLWAY
- get new light fixture hung, center hallway
- repaint center hall & back hallway trim - SHELVES PAINTED
- reorganize back hall closet
- pull up carpet & replace/refinish with hard flooring
LIVING ROOM
- declutter
- clear
- repaint BONUS: M painted radiators to match molding
- pull up carpet & replace with hard flooring
- reorganize furniture
- hang new double curtain rods
- sew matching curtains/pet hair catchers for the chairs
- obtain & put on slipcover for armchair
- put sofa & loveseat on longer legs so cats & roomba can get under furniture
- reorganize built-in shelves and furniture both sides fireplace
- make permanent home for desktop computer
- flat screen TV & table (when affordable)
- buy & hang stained glass in front two windows (when affordable)
BATHROOM
- fix toilet
- redo decorative paint job, walls
- redo decorations, built-in vanity (refront drawers?)
- attach drawer pulls
- obtain and hang stained glass over window
- decorative work, ledge
- paint dehumidifier table
- recaulk where needed
KITCHEN
several parts of the kitchen project are being moved forward to this year
- discuss with plumber feasibility of moving sink
- price plumbing work, new oven, new dishwasher (new refrigerator price known)
- replace large kitchen table with similar small breakfast bar - RECEIVED; NOT SET UP
- Set up shelving/bookcase units in kitchen eating nook
- Hang series of shelves for storage and to hold kitchen TV
OTHER (done for 2011)
- replace failing water main
- move garage water cutoff to doorway, not end of crawlspace
GARDEN
Water barrel project shifted to next year. Garden done
- add faucet by bedroom window for garden hose
- plant thyme and rosemary

ORGANIZE
Although there was no particular "organization" resolution, I do seem to be getting a lot of that done simply by purging stuff and reorganizing what I kept into the renovated rooms

- - found way for M & I to share driveway without blocking each other/being in way of tree branches
- - Keep homemade cleaner cloths in bathroom
February
- - Caught up entire Big Finish review backlog
- - Taught knitting at Gally
March
- - financial tracking/net worth forms set up
April
- - got supportive shoes for exercise/clinic shifts
May
- - Moved DVDs into storage in hall
- - took 11 boxes of books to Book Thing
- - pulled books for DWB charity auction later
June
- - helped run TW Charity Yard Sale
- - removed falling bookshelves. Figured out how to re-engineer them.
- - trip to Library of Congress, Folger, Nat'l Archives
- - got excellent deals on leather loveseat & 3 slate-topped tables
July
- - With M's help, completely cleaned out bedroom (had not been cleared for 2 years!)
August
- - surgical prep
