(no subject)

Well. Last night I vacuumed, scrubbed, swept, and generally cleaned everything, and sat back with a general attitude of "apres vendridi, le deluge." Then I ate roughly a pound of chocolate.

Yeah, I'm dealing with this stress so well. Mo's decorating the house with her Christmas things, and it does look lovely. I'm just still behind the glass wall.

LJ updates and email reading will cut off abruptly at close of business today; I have to keep the line clear so my Mother can call with last-minute instructions. Tomorrow morning first thing I drive up to the hospital, and what happens after that no one knows. If there's a lot of LJ activity, odds are good I'm not going to try to catch up. Although I do kinda wish I had wi-fi, because I'm obviously finding my own comfort and distraction online.

And in the news, under "oh, shit" or possibly "Big Brother lives" - Clear Channel (which owns 2/3 the radio stations I listen to) has signed a multi-year deal to have Fox News handle all their news reporting.

Y'know what I want for Christmas? Satellite radio.

Our thoughts will be with you tomorrow!

If you want another house to clean, come on over to mine. :)

Yes, the best tomorrow. Make sure your cell phone is fully charged.

If you believe in omens -- tomorrow the sun will be out. Today -- soggy!

Cell phone will be charging all night. Tonight, along with the last-minute directions, I should hear about the results of today's testing. I'm not happy that a 76-year-old man is going under sedation twice in two days.

As for cleaning your place - :-P~~~

I maust have tapped into the same zeitguiest: I've been cleaning like nobody's business. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers throughout this ordeal.
And, speaking of satellite radio, talk to me when you're ready: Richard frequently gets "friend and family" offers that cut your acquisition costs by half, though it's only for specific systems. Right now there's one running through the end of december(I'm not trying to push you to buy, just offering since you've expressed an interest, okay?):

We are pleased to announce the XM Employee Friends and Family offer on the following products (while supplies last).

Ø $49 SKYFi2 (plus home or car kit)

Ø $69 SKYFi2 plus Boombox (thru 11/30/04; $89 from 12/1/04 thru 12/31/04)

Ø $49 Commander

Please forward the attachment or refer your friends and family to http://www.xmradio.com/friends.

Your e-mail address will be the access key to receive this special promotional pricing.
(that's: Richard.Michalski@xmradio.com)

Ø Purchased radio must remain continuously activated for six (6) months or customer will be charged $60.

Thanks

I'm so far behind the curve that I don't even know what equipment is good for what or how to use it - but I appreciate the offer and may well take you up on it - if not this go around, then the next!

Joining the queue offering GoodThoughts and positive energy for the whole hospital thing.

Good luck and Good thoughts

Sending good vibrations your way. Satellite radio is good, internet radio is good....and there are lawsuits of all kinds against Clear Channel.

Concentrate on your mother now, though.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Between filk.com and Renradio, I really need to figure out how to get my luddite butt on the internet radio train.

internet radio

My brother's been doing that for a couple of years. Not XM (I have other connections for that), but the Internet radio. He can at least give you training wheels when you're ready.

And we'll be awaiting the word tomorrow. All the good words.
