221B Con Poll

I did not get it in gear this year to do a special booklet of canon favorites for 221B Con. But Dover Thrift is, well, thrifty, and I've decided to buy 40 of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Hound of the Baskervilles, or a mix of the two. Which way should I go?

My opinion may be skewed by the fact that Hound of the Baskervilles is my least favorite Holmes story.

I've always been fond of "Hound", myself -- it may have been the first Holmes I read, even if it *was* the abridged Scholastic Books version (think I might still have it around here somewhere....)

The short stories are more accessible - and if people don't get on with them they feel that they've wasted less time than reading a full novel. Butthere are always people who prefer novels to shorts - so you need some Hound to cover those.
