Yesterday, one of my rings was making me itch. It's a rather complex ring, with lots of nooks and crannies that collect dirt, so I put a little lotion on my hand at work as a buffer and scrubbed the ring down with an old toothbrush when I got home and forgot all about it.

This morning, I was really clawing at the ring, so I took a closer look at my hand. Three little yellowish zit-looking, fiercely-itching bumps in a row, right above the ring.

Say Wha? I washed both hands and slapped a bandaid on it (yay for gel bandaids, very cool things). But this can't possibly be what it looks and feels like, it can't possibly!

Because how in hell could I possibly have gotten Poison Ivy this early in the season? And on top of my ring finger???

Sadly, I've found that poison ivy can recur all on it's own. I had a really gnarly case of it in grammar school, and it paid a return visit my senior year- with no traceable re-exposure.

Sympathy!
