Random bits & Silly Regeneration Theories

Took 12 pages of notes at "Malvolio's Revenge" last night and will type up all when I have the time, hopefully tonight. (I'd say so at Facebook but I still don't even know how to respond to comments there. I'm flunking Facebook.)

Dear Author: Do not be using the finale moments of very famous movies for your plot twist. The reader is supposed to think "I never saw that coming" not "I can see that every time I reach for my DVD collection."

Regeneration episode casting spoilers are sweeping through fandom at the speed of squee. I'm throwing open comments not for the spoilers, but for the most silly "why he'll regenerate" theory you can come up with.

I'll start with a couple:

- Ten poisons himself with hair gel overexposure.
- Donna's mother and Martha's mother meet, compare notes, and take a hit out on him.

- The Sea Devils get him.

- They bring back the Yetis (because they keep referencing them in the annuals etc) and they get him. Somehow. In Heathrow Terminal 5? With the lead piping?

(from sparks)
-he trips over his own feet and breaks his neck.

he trips over his own feet and breaks his neck.

Or he trips over that super-long coat.

chokes on a banana.

Rose suddenly realises he'll never be hers and decides that if she can't have him, no one can.

He's helping Torchwood and they accidentally kill him through incompetence.

This is possibly my favorite of them all!

It seemed like a logical possibility.

Almost a probability, considering them!

- He accidentally kicks a puppy and drowns in his own emo.

- Somebody shoots him just to stop the babbling.

- Tragic sonic screwdriver malfunction while he's trying to fix the toilet.

- He kisses another bloody blonde, and the Rose Warriors decide they've had enough of this incarnation.

Silly regeneration theories:

Ten goes on an epic ginger beer bender, and foolishly accepts the two aspirin offered as hangover cure.

The Time Lords return from whatever pocket universe they've been hanging out in, and, after 15 minutes of seeing Ten bounce around like a puppy, decide that maybe that forced-regeneration-and-exile-to-Earth thing is worth another try.

The bill collectors turn up to collect the roaming charges on all those supercharged companion cell phones we've seen over the past few seasons. With a squadron of Judoon.

Doctor walks into a top-secret military base with no pass or credentials, turns his devastating charm on the commanding officer...and is taken out and shot.

Ooo, I can't tell if I like the aspirin one or the roaming charges one best!

I like the roaming charges one!

I won't ask which author or book, but I was wondering which classic movie? I keep running into Dashell Hammett references myself!

Just in passing: VERY disappointed in the most recent 'Aurora Teagarden'(Charlaine Harris)

Psycho. For the love of everyone, do not try to do a ripoff of Psycho. There is no way in hell you can do it without everyone thinking Hitchcock did it better.

- gets a static shock off his hair.
