All Things... get a slight reprieve

neadodsUsually Knit Night goes like this: I go home, clean the litter boxes, watch the Daily Show online, read Facebook, go to Franklin's, then go to A Tangled Skein and hang out for a while. With yet *another* reduction in price and the beginning of the "oh fuck it, we're not sorting out this yarn, here, have a grab bag" I figured that showing up earlier was better.
However, even if I was going out the door when regulars were coming in, I did learn some somewhat comforting things:
1) The store will be open until March
2) Not just the members, but the staff are looking for ways of preserving Knit Night and classes. At least two churches have offered space for a reasonable fee.
And 3) I have wanted to buy a fixture so I'd have something of the store in my house, and not just "I bought this yarn there." Most of what I've wanted was taken already, but when the store officially shuts down, I'm going to have two new floor lamps for a very reasonable price. And I can even claim this as part of the renovations/a necessity, because one of my current floor lamps has gotten *bent*!
