I just talked to another vet and it was beyond surreal to hear my own experience parroted back to me. Just surreal. He, too, was a combat veteran who got asked, "Did you have a traumatic childhood?" He, too, got put on Prozac, which worked for a few months before he started getting suicidally depressed. He, too, got put on sleeping pills that didn't help him sleep, they just kept him locked helplessly in his nightmares. And, he, too, has to go to some stupid group therapy thing where he will likely be the only active duty soldier there. The only way it could have been more familiar is if he had seen as much action as I did.
Sorry to be pessimistic, but basically the past three days or so have been too depressing to find anything to post on; too many rapes, too many injustices, too many cruelties, all over again, just like every other day.
I'm going to go pet Morgie and try and get my underwear off him. He's wearing it now.
