You cite extreme, obsessed or mercenary people. Are your friends like that? Mine aren't. We just want to write and be read, without profit. Just as there are bad apples in the NYC Fire Department, where the overwhelming majority of firefighters are law-abiding, honest, brave people, so there are crazy fen who take advantage of every situation, among a vast majority of fun loving fen who aren't sickos. And there is the occasional tight-assed actor like Paul Darrow, alongside the easy-going Paul Gross. ::shrug:: I can find an example of everything. That's immaterial, frankly, because what we're talking about is the tongue-in-cheek writing of RPS.
