Wilson's Leather frequently has nice stuff, reasonably priced and not Killer Trendy.
Personally, I've gone completely over to a "fanny pack" (which I call a "belt-pack" because I wear it in front). It carries my wallet, 2 checkbooks, keys, a couple of pens, and my cellphone; it has a handy place for my debit card and enough extra space to stow micellaneous business cards, etc. until I get home and can go thru them; it forces me not to have the 40-Pound Purse From Hell, which always used to happen no matter how small a bag I got; and there's very little chance of my walking off and leaving it somewhere. The only thing I really miss is space to carry a paperback.
