Feb. 8th, 2004 10:25 amSilver sharpie, you're the one/you make fandom so much fun!
I have discovered the joys of the silver sharpie. Specifically as applied to the featureless rows upon rows of black comb binding used to hold zines together. Smoother than a gel pen line, far faster drying, and prettybrightshiney all at once.
Whee!
Okay, I have accomplished very little of actual import this weekend, but now my zine shelf is all neatly labelled and organized by fandom. Except for the zines which I'm going to rebind, because whatthehell, I don't *like* staple binding or post binding and I've got all these combs left over, and a binding machine, and a nice, new package of silver sharpies...
Sometimes, it's the simple pleasures that are best.
Oh, and one other not-so-simple pleasure - I've paid off the first of three debts to be killed off this year (strikes a line through the new year's resolution.) Go, me!
