The Weekend
Sep. 17th, 2004 02:10 pmAs Ani puts it over on her LJ, "Only a wierdo goes to the fair in a hurricane." But if it's not pouring buckets tomorrow, I probably am going to stick my nose in at fair for a while.
The rest of the weekend, though, assorted tasks:
1) I spongepainted the bathroom cabinet drawers; now I just have to come back and clean up the edges. (Love the look of spongepainting. Didn't realize what an utter mess it makes.) Then I bolt on the new drawer pulls, and the bathroom renovation is DONE! Uh, except for putting all the crap back in the cabinet and the new etagiere, and sewing a new curtain. But the curtain can wait for a while.
2) Write the review for The Ghost Finds a Body and keep plowing through The Dante Club, which sounded really interesting and is turning out a little wierd.
3) Rearrange my little mobile computer table. I've had my two printers and assorted compustuff shoved in a corner of the living room, partially on a rolling table. Now that
maureen_the_mad and I have struggled the new treadmill into place, I want to rearrange that corner so that if you fall off the treadmill you don't fall on all my tech toys.
4) Hang the art. The drill is charged, the pictures are all lined up, and I've been mentally assigning them spaces for a couple of days now. Time to put 'em up.
I'm also going to swing by that new bookstore opening extravaganza
stratfordbabe advertised, and check out this Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell book I keep hearing about.
Some point in the near future will also include a viewing of Sky Captain, but I don't know if I'm going with friends on Sunday or alone after work on Monday. That also depends in part on the weather.
