Pro-choice political stuff
Jan. 14th, 2005 08:58 amCautious good news - I have seen this notice that several members of Congress have signed a protest letter to the Director of the Office of Violence Against Women protesting the lack of emergency birth control information in the National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examination. This was first put on
ljforchoice and
repro_rights linking from a radical feminist site, so I am waiting for more mainstream notices from google news before I get too thrilled.
News about the usual annual anti-Roe protest and counter protest plans are overshadowed by the inaugural hoopla. However, there's going to be a big anti-Roe protest march with the theme "abortion is bad for women" in San Francisco on 1/22, with assorted counter-protests.
