Team Wench MS Walk, Please Help
Mar. 15th, 2005 10:17 amOnce again (and as I shall be every week until the walk), I am begging for funds for the Team Wench MS walk. Donations can be accepted here. We are walking 5K for the National MS Society.
My thanks to Shana Kayne, my first online contributer, and to
suricattus and
shayheyred who have donated directly to me.
Now I'm going to turn to bribery. Who would be interested in buying books from me, with the proceeds to go entirely to the walk? I have a long list of books that have been read only once or only partially. I'm thinking $2 for paperbacks and $5 for hardcovers, plus postage, or I would consider theme groupings. For instance, I have three mystery-themed cookbooks, one of which is unread and signed, one of which is in almost new condition, and one of which was read once for review, which means that some pages were turned down but there are no other marks.
Anyone interested?
Examples of the books available:
Creature Cozies - hardback anthology, read once, no marks
Case Histories - Advanced Reader Copy, some pages turned down. Get a cheap version of a book that made several "must read of 2005" booklists!
Affair of the Incognito Tenant, hardback Sherlock story, never read
Erin's Gate, hardback, read once, no marks
The Exile, hardback, never read
Gene, hardback, never read
Too Late for Angels, hardback, read once, a few pages turned down
The Manor, paperback, a couple pages turned down
Bride and Groom (by Conant), paperback, a couple pages turned down
If there is interest, a full list will go up by tomorrow night.
