Advice, A rant, and No, no, PLEASE NO!

faireraven, talk to me. When you're through ranting, I have a lot of suggestions on how I dealt with the very same issues. I have been there, right down to losing important things. Talk to me.
Rant
Funny you should mention Flylady. Personally, I think the woman's mental. I mean, I see her point about dressing up and having one thing you keep clean to feel better about yourself, but anyone who waxes their sink - especially if they haven't taken the time to do the damn dishes that were in there in the first place - has got the WRONG priorities.
There needs to be a "flyfan" or "fanlady" contingent where we trade realistic goals, ideas of what to do with the clutter, etc.
No, no, PLEASE NO!
It hasn't really sunk in yet, but a dear friend is flying home almost as I type because her mother is terribly ill and losing ground fast - and nobody knows what's wrong.
For anyone with faith, hope, or a candle to light, please keep Mrs. Palmer in your thoughts.
