Silent Auction for Hurricane Relief

I found this reading friend-of-friends, which is LJ for "I have no freaking clue where I read this, actually." T'was a great idea though - a silent auction on LJ for the crocheting of items - only you don't give the money to the crafter, you send it to the charity, send proof of payment to the crafter, and then get your scarf.

I don't crochet. But I've got mystery books out my ears. So, I'm giving it a whirl. This is the official opening of the Book Silent Auction. All books listed below are either brand new or read once/like new.

The Rules:

- Two sets of books will be put up for auction, for the charities described below.
- Use the comments section on this post to make bids for how much you'd pay for said set(s). Auction runs until midnight 9/17.
- The winners will donate the bid amount to the marked charity and send a receipt to me via email, along with their addresses.
- I will mail the books to the winners at my own expense. Money does not come to me at all; the point is that money goes straight to the charity and books go to y'all.
