v, short pre-holiday update
Nov. 23rd, 2005 03:50 pmI've been begging a little online time from my adoptive cousin, so I'm more or less keeping up with email, LJ, and the plot of Girl Genius. However, I don't know how much longer I'll be able to do this, as Mother Disapproves.
Side note - my adoptive cousin likes to throw games in with his holiday parties; we've been divided up into teams and set to working out a series of puzzles. We have until the end of the weekend to do things like name the two planes that carried atomic bombs, the 4 humors, the 7 wonders, the 13 most banned books during the 90s, and other trivia contests. I'm rather humiliated at how many of these I *used* to know but don't anymore. I've only got one plane, 3 humors, 3 wonders, and I can name banned books all morning without being sure which ones were at the top of the list in the 90s. (Although it's a safe bet that the old standbys like Huck Finn & Are You There God? are on the list.)
It's reminding me of the madcap parties Animal X used to throw, with clues peppered all over the house and wild chases from room to room trying to solve stuff. Holly House might not be the magnificent mansion she had to work with, but damn... it's tempting to dust off that old tradition and have a head games party.
