I might lose weight yet!
Aug. 21st, 2006 01:11 pmSpamming the f-list, I know. Sorry. Long day. Lots to say. But this is particularly exciting stuff, at least for me.
I have discovered Pom Peach Passion Tea. Now, I'm not normally a tea drinker, but this looked worth a try, and I ended up liking it, even though I couldn't quite describe the taste - it's sweetish, but not quite like pomegranate juice, peach juice, or tea.
Anyway, I thought I'd try to take some to work and sip on it when I wanted something sweet, to try to cut the "eat chocolate when I'm bored" thing that's going on. To give it the hardest workout as possible, I not only sipped some as a palate cleanser after breakfast, but after lunch I ate a single piece of chocolate out of a sampler, and am now taking a sip every time I think about the rest of the sampler.
IT'S WORKING!
Not only am I not slugging back the tea the way I would have chowed down on a bag of M&Ms, but after about three or four sips I had enough sweet and am not particularly interested in finishing the sampler right now (even though the coconut one is still in there.)
I'm not expecting this to make me stop eating chocolate or anything insane like that, but to be able to successfully replace the high-fat, high-sodium, high-calorie, high-chemical vending machine snacks with all natural, no-fat, low-calorie anything is possibly the biggest thrill I've had in months.
