Resolutions
Oct. 31st, 2006 07:36 amReality is catching up with some of my projects. For instance, woodburning designs on my feast gear and the basket? Yeah, that would be pretty... except that I use my feast gear only twice a year and then it's covered in food, so why spend hours fancying it up? Furthermore, it turns out that the wooden trencher doesn't even *fit* in the basket I usually use for feast gear. Oops. So much for that project!
And while I want to do the assorted quilts... (no, I want to *have* the quilts; different concept, really) I'm just not interested in sewing right now. I don't see a point in forcing myself to do something that isn't currently interesting in lieu of something that I'd prefer to be doing. That does nobody any good, and makes for crap work.
Which leads to my second pensive point; several projects that I have all the materials for simply aren't as attractive now as they were when I first thought of them. Which was the point of making this the catch-up year, so I wouldn't have time lags like that anymore, although I haven't really caught up, and probably won't now in the next 2 months.
Grr, argh.
