[livejournal.com profile] doyle_sb4 recced this cartoon; I went, laughed like a hyena, and am passing it on. Worksafe and apparently iconable with credit, so I know what I'll be doing tonight!

The Doctor's Girls by mimi_na

The same artist has also done a Doctor lineup and is working on one for the male companions.

Side question - is it possible for non-members of Deviant art to leave comments? Because I've got to tell this artist how much I love her work but I can't figure out how.

Archived for future use: Illustrated guide to knitting short rows as demonstrated on this free online tank top pattern (with free sleeves to turn it into a T-shirt).

For those going "er?" short-row knitting is a technique for making things curve without moving the seamlines (think the knees of your jeans) aka, add fitting darts to knitted garments.

It's been a year, I think I'm ready to go beyond knitting scarves and blankets. Bought this very basic t-shirt pattern with set-in sleeves when I signed up for the knitting classes.

Augh!

All those Terry Pratchett audios I so happily schlepped back from England? I was so thrilled to see them at all and in such abundance that I didn't check their cases until I thought there was something odd about Small Gods when I put it in today.

Every single one is abridged.

*weeps*

This is going to particularly suck when I listen to Witches Abroad and Lords and Ladies, because I'm going to know exactly what's missing. Hell, I noticed when the "unabridged" copy of Northanger Abbey was short by only two sentences.
