Breaking my arm - and yes, it's a small crack on the ulna - was painful and annoying.
Waking up on the kitchen floor surrounded by stuff pulled off the table and not knowing how I got there (the floor, not the kitchen) was *terrifying.* I go into shock easily, but I've never just keeled over and passed out. Having the triage nurse ask in tones of alarm "Is your blood pressure always that low?" wasn't fun either.
Getting the EKG and the CAT scan was kinda interesting.
Missing the memorial for
shawan_7's mother was extremely disappointing - I'm so sorry, I wanted to be there for you! I hear the video montage of her pictures was amazing.
Spending 5 hours freezing my butt off and being ignored in ER after they'd done the tests and splinted my arm and kept saying I'd be admitted for observation Real Soon Now was stultifying.
Throwing a stroppy fit with
maureen_the_mad's help and getting medical leave to GO THE HELL HOME 12 HOURS LATER! was liberating to say the least.
Dealing with the half cast is back to annoying. Doesn't hurt too much, though, unless I move the wrong way.
Typing is awkward but not impossible.
And now I have a lot to get caught up on. This is the first thing I've typed, so have no idea what all those comments on the previous post say yet.
