Oww, pt 2

Breaking my arm - and yes, it's a small crack on the ulna - was painful and annoying.

Waking up on the kitchen floor surrounded by stuff pulled off the table and not knowing how I got there (the floor, not the kitchen) was *terrifying.* I go into shock easily, but I've never just keeled over and passed out. Having the triage nurse ask in tones of alarm "Is your blood pressure always that low?" wasn't fun either.

Getting the EKG and the CAT scan was kinda interesting.

Missing the memorial for [livejournal.com profile] shawan_7's mother was extremely disappointing - I'm so sorry, I wanted to be there for you! I hear the video montage of her pictures was amazing.

Spending 5 hours freezing my butt off and being ignored in ER after they'd done the tests and splinted my arm and kept saying I'd be admitted for observation Real Soon Now was stultifying.

Throwing a stroppy fit with [livejournal.com profile] maureen_the_mad's help and getting medical leave to GO THE HELL HOME 12 HOURS LATER! was liberating to say the least.

Dealing with the half cast is back to annoying. Doesn't hurt too much, though, unless I move the wrong way.

Typing is awkward but not impossible.

And now I have a lot to get caught up on. This is the first thing I've typed, so have no idea what all those comments on the previous post say yet.

Since I'm home feeling sorry for myself (and translating "get lots of fluids" as "alternate water and a black-and-white shake"), some stuff to raise everyone's moods: Doctor Who comics.

First, the Gorpo Ten Doctor Comics (read in sequence):
First
Second
Third
Fourth
Fifth
Sixth

It doesn't seem to be entirely completed, so keep an eye on the gallery for more

"That's the nicest thing I've ever said to myself." *sporfle!*

Then the Whooligans regen comic that made me laugh like a Hyena when I saw it.

Oh, pits. Had made a note to try to buy the Stephen Fry Harry Potter CDs from BBCShop.com, but it won't ship to America.

Damn, I *really* should have bought them when I was there in January!

I love you, Waterstones, and want to have your literary children. Bless.
