I feel like I should be Doing Something - working on a project, a task, doing more Stalinesque purges of my stuff, and yet can find enthusiasm for nothing. Life is stale, flat, and unprofitable, and this weekend there's a con so I won't get too much done either. Sadly, because Malice is a great con, all I really want to be is at Media*West.
So, to kill time before the Daily Show repeat comes on, a travel meme: This is a list of the 50 most-visited (non-religious pilgrimage) tourist attractions in the world.
Bold where you've been, italicize where you WANT to go, and name one place you want to go that is NOT on the list.
( One of those long-ass lists )
The one I'm adding? It's a toss-up between this amazing cemetary outside Oahu that has a Buddhist temple in it and Mad Ludwig's castles studded through Germany. If we could list religious places, I'd have to give huge marks to Westminster Abbey and Cologne Cathedral.
I'm never going to make a big dent in this list because it's mostly amusement parks, and if I have the choice between an amusement park and anywhere else in a city, I'm going with "anywhere else." Not my cuppa when there are museums and shops around.
