Morning randomosity
Jul. 11th, 2007 07:00 amThe miscoded vid link is fixed in the previous post; for those who don't want to go back, it is also here.
Polaris Masquerade Entry: Dalek Bumps. Runs a bit long and the audio is mushy, but the concept is fabulous and the dancing daleks are priceless. (I wonder how much Who, if any, there will be at Shore Leave?)
Early reports on the Potter movie are that it rocks.
casirafics has a cute recap/review (No particular spoilers, unless you haven't read the book.)

Harry: "I saw it!"
EVERYONE around me: "I sore it?"
I've reinvented the wheel this morning, but it's a lesson worth sharing re: exercise. I did NOT want to get up today. Too tired, too groggy... but I kept thinking that I haven't been good about getting exercise done and maybe if I got on the treadmill, endorphins could kick me into the day. Well, I got on the treadmill and was barely moving, and even Big Finish's newest adventure wasn't holding my interest.
So I took out the Doctor Who story and put in the Scissor Sisters CD. And a minute later, I was bopping along quite fast, because it's impossible to hear "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" and *not* move along. I was even dancing a bit - I dance with all the astaire-like grace of Matt, but still - and I'm more awake than I've been in many a morning. And I've stayed awake as the morning progresses.
This doesn't completely convert me to listening to music instead of audios on the treadmill - after all, I *do* want to know what the army of 2-meter termites are going to do to Sylvester McCoy! - but it does mean that I'm going to be spending a little time with iTunes and blank CDs and working out 8-song playlists with a warmup and cooldown song at either end and plenty of pep in the middle.
