I haven't said anything on the assumption that any interested members of my f-list are already on the comm, but
lifeonmartha is having a Martha-centric round of drabble tag to celebrate breaking the 1000 member mark. Much concentrated good fic.
When Giles-the-palm-pilot went, he took fic with him, including large amounts of my 10th Kingdom fic. It's not on my computer, the web archives didn't have it, it was never printed, the old discussion comms are gone.
And so is all that fic. Permanently.
I've already lost some of my whofic - there was a very short drabble in a series of smutty drabbles about that sonic screwdriver a long, long time ago in someone's comments. So I'm going to take this opportunity to pull together a set of ficlets of mine, just to put a couple of signposts pointing the way back from oblivion. Most of these are drabbles; none are over a page. All are worksafe, although some bend the definition a little bit.
dark_aegis suggested a prompt at the Jack/Rose/Doctor OT3athon.
I couldn't resist flash-ficcing right there and then.
A teeny-tiny Jack & Doctor fic about size.
This one is up on Teaspoon, but it's a bit of an overlooked favorite: Red Bicycle. Yes, I'm one of the billions of fanficcers who took that line from "The Doctor Dances" and ran with it.
The Human Heart. A followup to Family of Blood. (This is supposed to be on Teaspoon, but I'm not sure it's enabled.)
Rituals This was meant to turn into something larger and thus was never advertised. I think I'm going to leave it as it is, especially since in retrospect I like that I never name the incarnation or the companion. Gallifrey had so many rituals, but not the one the Doctor needs most.
A Woman's Job Written for an icon drabble challenge (the icon was of Sarah Jane, as she is now, standing by K-9 with the motto "Never send a girl to do a woman's job.") Sarah Jane reflects on School Reunion.
Naughty or Nice Third Doctor, Liz Shaw, Brigadier. I was going to republish this Christmas story and post it on Teaspoon in December, but I didn't want to wait.
After Nos started a conversation that snowballed and Jonquil posted a dare, I wrote this complete crack about the Doctor, Rose, and otters.
And all the way back when I just started this fandom, a pair of S1 new Who drabbles that I don't think anybody's read since I wrote them:
Words.
Once upon a time, he had always used the third person.
And for Parting of the Ways, My Doctor.
I grant their wishes, but there is no one to grant mine.
