A bunch of links while I throw myself into finishing the recap and then hopefully another story chapter:

Reviewing the Evidence is back from hiatus, and has my reviews for Murder Can Crash Your Party (guess the Dear Author letter this one spawned!) and The Mammoth Book of Jack the Ripper.

Blogtor Who has photos of Tennant's Hamlet, a modern dress production.

How long until someone reverse-engineers a knitting version of this sock pattern?

Some of the choices are starting to blend together - for instance, when searching on "mystery" in iTunes, you end up with a great deal of Old Time Radio offerings. So while I'm going to keep the poll, on the assumption that people like clicking ticky boxes, the actual offerings are starting to wander further afield than the winning topic would suggest.

The podcasts I'm trying are:
- Mystery Theater (old time radio mysteries, presented as serials)
- Old Time Radio Mysteries (ditto)
- British Old Time Radio (the same, with an accent)
- Agatha Presents (short stories)
- Classic Mysteries (what I was really looking for)

What I really wanted was a shorter Dragon Page, with reviews and information about upcoming books. That didn't appear to exist. However "Classic Mysteries" is a series of reviews of classic mystery books, and in a world with ebay and half.com, nothing is truly out of print. I've downloaded their commentary on some of my favorites - Return of the Black Widowers, Busman's Honeymoon, and The Hound of the Baskervilles.

The Colonial Williamsburg podcast is on iTunes, which makes it easy for me to subscribe rather than continuing to check the page and import.

My recap for Journey's End is up on Firefox News: http://firefox.org/news/articles/1711/1/Recap---Doctor-Who-Journey039s-End/Page1.html

I don't think I'm cut out to be a recapper. Wow.

Two Post Recs:
[livejournal.com profile] shawan_7's review of guy who loves D&D gaming but loathes that he loves it. It's a sad and frustrating article, although [livejournal.com profile] boogiebabe_smap may have summed it up best: "Hi. I'm a hopeless dweeb who wouldn't know what to do with a life if I had one. So I'm going to blame my lack of socialization skills on a game."

Via [livejournal.com profile] lizbee, I've learned of [livejournal.com profile] prettyquotable's wonderful post on the difference between misogyny and "I don't like Stephen Moffat." I don't believe Steven Moffat is a misogynist. He doesn't make comments about coming on women, he doesn't put his characters in bikinis and turn them into sex objects. Warning, some of the stuff she links to as proof of misogyny is really disgusting. But it's certainly proof of the difference between Moffat yanking chains and someone who seriously thinks women have no right to exist except as silent sex slaves.

And because it has been a productive weekend, the Sunday 7 )

I've also made a note to order the Companion Chronicles next month, or at least the selected ones I want. I thought I'd put in an order for the Susan one, but it turns out I didn't. I'll catch it in retrospect next month when I put the rest of the order in.

Belated fic rec: April in My Arms by [livejournal.com profile] shaggydogstail. Another Journey's End fixit, but a unique and very sweet one.
