The poll is across the street from my house; I just walk over as it opens. In the primary, I was there about 10 minutes early and was about 10th in line.

Today, the line was across the front of the school, wrapping around the corner, and halfway up the side wall. By the time we started moving, the line had made it to the back of the school. However, they moved us through fairly quickly, and I was at work only an hour after the normal time.

I was not, fortunately, polling where the cop got shot (!!!)

Now I get to catch up on the SJA while looking at that other Great American Election Day institution, the newscasters calling states with only 10% of the vote counted.
